Ska! Ska! The Ska Vengers to play in Shillong.

It was in 2012 when their debut album was launched and Ska Vengers officially showed the Indian Indie circuit how startlingly ambitious they are.

For most of us who are familiar with the band, songs like “Rude boy Skank” that was featured on Stupiditties IV compilation album in the year 2010 made them a force to be reckoned with. While their collaboration with social activist Arundhati Roy at the launch of her latest book in 2011 was a sign that they wouldn’t shy away from the mainstream. Their live shows are difficult to miss out as there aren’t any bands around that bore any resemblance or came close to matching what they were doing.

The group received nominations for MTV VMAI 2013 best group and best music video and GiMA awards for best debut, best pop album and best single categories. They won special jury prize for best Indian band recently for LIVE Quotient Awards 2013. Currently they are nominated for best live act for upcoming VH1 Sound Nation awards on May 11th 2014. The Ska Vengers are widely considered to be one of the most exciting and relevant live musical outfits in India today.

Now, the Ska Vengers as a unit have found their stride and are finally going to make their appearance in the Northeastern part of the country for Ziro festival of Music, Arunachal Pradesh and we all know many of their fans from this part of the country have been itching to catch them live.

At the onset of their Northeast India tour, Rockski Group will be hosting The Ska Vengers live at Club Tango, Shillong  on the 20th of September 2014 from 8 pm onwards. Check flyer for details.
