One Billion Rising @ Fire Brigade Ground on V-Day

For those of you who aren’t aware, One Billion Rising is a worldwide movement with the motive of expressing solidarity in women and saying no to Violence against women. It will be celebrated all over the world on the 14th of February ie: Valentines Day.

Yes, and as you had guessed, One Billion rising will be celebrated in Shillong today the 14th February at Fire brigade Ground with an open air concert that will feature a myriad of expressions in the form of songs, dance, chants and drum beat and live bands like Summersalt, 4th Element and Shyllong. All are cordially invited to this event at 4pm. Your presence will strengthen the voice and the campaign.
