Aberrant becoming the Archetype

Ever since their emergence, metal Super-group Aberrant has had a list of accolades to their name. They were first declared Meg Icon winner, last year in Shillong. This year the band has quickly set their priorities in establishing themselves as the one among the forerunner in the region’s metal outlet and have been successful in doing so, the past few weeks saw the band’s first outing at the IIT Guwahati annual festival Alcheringa where they were declared the runner-up band along with the best vocalist award after competing with several bands at the ever popular competition of the region, Rock-o-Phonix 2012.

After the spine tingling victory as runners up at Alcheringa, Aberrant made their return to the competition circuit by competing at another college fest in Assam  Engineering College, Pyrotechnix 2013. With their warts ‘n’ all out  progressive technical metal, you certainly won’t be finding another match anywhere near this lot. And by that, we mean to say that they have once again proven themselves by bagging the winning spot at Pyrotechnix 2013 alongside bagging the ‘best vocalist’, best ‘Guitarist’ and ‘best bassist’ awards.

Aberrant as a super-group is positively raring to go places with their music and the quintet are hitting the NIT Silchar college competition extravaganza, Thundermarch 2013 to brandish the progressive aspect of metal to a new bunch of people and what we’re looking forward to most is for them to bring home another victory and become the archetype to inspire the upcoming metal bands of our small town. Best wishes to the band!
