As part of the 45th MEGHALAYA DAY Celebrations on the 21st January 2017, The Government of Meghalaya will organize a Free Concert at Polo Grounds Parking Lot along with a display of Pyrotechnics and Fireworks. There will also be a food court which would have different kinds of food ranging from Indigenous to BBQ, Indian & Continental.
Bands from the state of Meghalaya to perform on this day will be SNOW WHITE (Shillong), FAME THE BAND (Tura), DEWDROPS (Jowai), OoTO GARAGE (Shillong), K-BLOODZ (Shillong), AKHIA (Shillong) & GINO (Shillong). Apart from the bands, there will also be DJ ELTON (Shillong) and DJ ARPAN (Shillong) opening for International DJ JULIA BLISS from Russia.
The Theme for this year’s celebrations is “Peace”. Those attending the show are requested to wear something white to support the cause. It can be anything like a sweater, jacket, muffler, cap , gloves or scarf.
All are invited.
